How clients search
From Google to WhatsApp in three clicks.
Today, first contact rarely begins on the street. It usually happens through search engines, specialised directories, adverts, forums, agencies, maps, Telegram channels, WhatsApp or platforms with pre-selected profiles. This digital transformation has completely changed the way people locate, compare and make contact, but it has also introduced new challenges relating to privacy, identity verification, covert intermediation, impersonation and the safety of everyone involved.
Typology of platforms detected in digital contexts
Data published by the Institute for Women on websites related to prostitution across Spain. These studies help to better understand the scale of the digital phenomenon, the volume of existing adverts, the concentration of supply and the risks associated with intermediation, opacity and the possible exploitation of women in situations of vulnerability.

The typical journey
- Run searches using terms such as “escort Barcelona”, “escorts BCN”, “companions Barcelona” or “companionship girls Barcelona”. These expressions will let you find pages, directories and adverts related to companionship services in the city, as well as compare different profiles and available options.
- Compare different types of results, such as premium websites, mass advertising portals, specialised forums and agency-run pages. Assess not only the number of profiles available, but also the quality of the information, the transparency, the verification systems, the ease of contact and the level of trust each platform conveys.
- Use the available filters to narrow your search according to your preferences: photographs, language, age, availability, area, style and price range. Reviewing these criteria calmly will help you compare profiles more precisely and find options that genuinely match what you are looking for.
- Make contact through whichever channel you find most comfortable, whether WhatsApp, Telegram, a phone call or a contact form. Before doing so, check the profile's instructions and use a clear, polite and direct message, specifying the date, time and area of interest to make a quick and precise reply easier.
- Make your decision by weighing up the experience as a whole: the speed and clarity of the reply, the sense of safety the communication conveys, the respect for discretion and the consistency between the photographs, the description and the information provided. Faced with contradictions, pressure or any detail that raises doubts, the most prudent course is to discard the profile and keep looking.
The most common mistake
Choosing on the basis of a photograph alone. The image is usually the easiest element to retouch, reuse or fake. By contrast, it is far harder to consistently simulate a verifiable track record, respectful communication, well-defined boundaries, a prior review process and the presence of a platform that supervises profiles and stands behind what it publishes. That is why trust should not be built on a single image, but on the full set of signals surrounding the profile.
Areas of Barcelona with the greatest presence: how to interpret the territorial distribution without turning it into a consumption map
Territorial references must be approached with particular caution. The aim is not to point out specific streets or turn the city into a consumption map, but to understand certain urban patterns related to centrality, the presence of hotels and apartments, tourist activity, ease of transport and the anonymity offered by some areas with a high turnover of people. Drawing on data from the macro-study, RTVE points to a significant concentration in central areas such as the Eixample and also mentions areas with heavy tourist footfall, including the Sagrada Família. These data should be read as indicators of urban context, not as an invitation to pinpoint specific locations.10
EixampleUrban centrality, the concentration of apartments and hotels, good public transport connections and the high mobility of residents and visitors contribute to greater digital visibility in certain areas.
Sant Antoni / EsquerraThis is a residential area that is, at the same time, close to the centre, with good transport connections and near some of the city's main commercial, tourist and leisure hubs.
Ciutat VellaThe heavy tourist presence, the constant flow of international visitors and the concentration of nightlife venues generate intense and ever-changing urban activity.
Sagrada FamíliaThe continuous flow of visitors and the coexistence of hotels, tourist apartments and other temporary accommodation generate a high turnover of people and particularly dynamic urban activity.
Hotels and conferencesThe concentration of hotels, conferences and exhibition venues drives occasional demand linked to business travel, trade fairs and major events. This is a variable activity, shaped by the calendar and the temporary influx of visitors.
